Circa Sports Debuts Massive Vegas-Style Sportsbook at Kentucky Downs
Circa Sports has officially opened its new state-of-the-art sportsbook at The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs, bringing a massive, Las Vegas-style betting experience to southern Kentucky. The venue, the largest in the state, features an 80-foot LED screen and aims to become a premier gameday destination for fans in Kentucky and the Nashville area.

The Vegas Experience Arrives in Kentucky
The new sportsbook is designed to replicate the high-energy atmosphere of a Las Vegas book. The centerpiece is an 80-foot-wide LED video wall, complemented by a 31-foot-wide odds board that displays real-time lines.
The 5,100-square-foot space is built to be a destination for sports fans, whether they are betting or just watching the games.
“We’re proud to officially open the doors to this new sports betting experience for fans across the region,” said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports.
“Whether you’re placing a bet or simply watching the action unfold, this book is built to be a premier gameday spot for Kentucky, Nashville and beyond.”
Premium Amenities and Live Content
The venue offers a range of premium seating options, including 113 stadium-style seats, luxury recliners, and three tiers of booth-style seating. For betting, there are five staffed stations and four self-service kiosks, with three additional kiosks located inside The Mint’s casino floor for added convenience.
A unique feature of the sportsbook is its in-house Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) broadcast studio. This will serve as a hub for live on-air talent, providing daily analysis and gameday content directly from the sportsbook floor. This brings a level of professional betting content to Kentucky that is typically found only in Las Vegas.
The sportsbook’s soft launch is already underway, but the official celebrations are scheduled for later in the month. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Wednesday, August 20, followed by a grand opening event on Saturday, August 23.
“Where passion meets precision—experience every moment on the massive 80-foot screen, indulge in premium comfort, and stay ahead with real-time updates,” said Johan Mirkovic, Vice President and General Manager of The Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs. “We can’t wait for our Wednesday, August 20th ribbon cutting and Saturday, August 23rd grand opening.”
