Caesars Sportsbook has expanded its in-game betting options for the 2025 NFL season, rolling out a new suite of micro-betting markets powered by the technology of the real-time wagering specialist Kero Sports. The new offering, branded as “FireBets,” will increase the number of available betting markets on each NFL game by more than threefold, from 50 last season to 175 this year.

A “Massive” Expansion of In-Play Options

The core of the new offering is a deep menu of micro-betting markets, which allow users to wager on the outcomes of individual plays and drives. This granular, real-time betting experience is designed to drive continuous engagement throughout a game.

Tomash Devenishek, the Founder and CEO of Kero Sports, described the new roster of in-play options as “exhaustive.”

“Last night, we powered an exhaustive roster of real-time markets across one of the biggest sportsbooks in the country,” Devenishek wrote on LinkedIn following the season’s opening game.

A New Technology Partner for a Key Vertical

The new offering is the product of a partnership that began in January when Caesars tapped Kero Sports to replace its previous live betting technology provider. Kero, a Miami-based company, specializes in providing these types of contextual, in-play markets not just for football, but for a wide range of sports including basketball, baseball, and soccer.

The company’s technology is designed to handle the immense pressure and rapid pace of the NFL season, a challenge Devenishek acknowledged.

“I’ve always heard how important football season is,” he wrote. “But nothing quite prepares you for the pressure of getting your product ready to go live on U.S. soil during NFL kickoff.”

The Growing Importance of Micro-Betting

Caesars’ significant investment in its live betting product is a clear indication of the growing importance of this vertical in the U.S. sports betting market. As the market matures, operators are increasingly looking to differentiate their platforms and drive deeper engagement through more dynamic and interactive products.

Micro-betting is seen as a key to achieving this, as it transforms the betting experience from a pre-game or halftime activity into a continuous, play-by-play engagement. The ability to wager on the outcome of the next play or the result of the current drive keeps users locked into the app and the game itself.

Kero Sports has been rapidly expanding its footprint in the industry, partnering with dozens of operators in various markets. The company recently secured $3 million in funding to fuel its continued growth and has added the well-known gaming industry investor Chris Grove to its board. The new, high-profile partnership with Caesars is a major validation of its technology and a significant step in its mission to become a global leader in real-time betting.
