Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball have officially joined gaming and media startup Betr as equity partners, strengthening the company’s blend of sports, culture, and entertainment.

Podcast moves under Betr Media

At the center of the deal is a rebranded podcast hosted by the Ball brothers, set to launch this fall in sync with the NBA season. The show will mix basketball storylines, music, and family dynamics with appearances from high-profile guests in sports, media, and pop culture.

Production plans call for at least 40 long-form episodes a year, each running over 45 minutes. Lonzo will record from Cleveland or on the road with the Cavaliers, while LiAngelo will contribute from Los Angeles.

The podcast is designed to capture the brothers’ distinct voices and provide fans with behind-the-scenes access to both Lonzo’s pursuit of an NBA title and LiAngelo’s growing music career.

Expanding Betr’s cultural footprint

Beyond podcasting, the Balls will feature prominently across Betr Media’s lineup. They are expected to appear in organic content tied to Jake Paul’s fight nights and in promotional campaigns for Betr’s gaming products, including Betr Picks, the daily fantasy pick’em app, and Betr Arcade, the company’s peer-to-peer gaming platform.

For Betr, the partnership underscores its strategy of combining entertainment and sports gaming to reach younger, digitally native audiences. Lonzo’s social media following, among the largest of any active NBA player, offers an immediate channel to amplify the brand, while LiAngelo’s crossover into the music industry provides another layer of cultural reach.

Voices from both sides

In a joint statement, the brothers described Betr as a natural fit:

“We’re excited to partner with Betr. We’ve watched what Jake and the team have been building from a media perspective, and we believe it is a perfect fit for us. We’re looking forward to taking our podcast to the next level and giving our fans exciting conversations from some of the biggest names in sports, media and culture throughout the basketball season.”

They also praised Betr’s gaming products as “simple, fun, and built for fans like us.”

Mike Denevi, Betr’s head of media, framed the move as a milestone:

“This is a landmark addition to the Betr Media family and a perfect proof point of why we’re the most disruptive and innovative brand in sports gaming. Lonzo and LiAngelo are cultural icons with authentic voices, massive reach, and cultural relevance, making them an ideal fit for our platform. Together, we’re going to co-create one of the biggest sports shows in America.”

The addition of the Ball brothers is the latest step in Betr’s attempt to establish itself as a hybrid of gaming, media, and community. Building on long-form series like BS with Jake Paul and Twin Talk with Haley and Hanna Cavinder, the company aims to expand its slate with personalities that bridge sports and lifestyle.
