Fanatics to Launch Mobile and Retail Sportsbooks in Missouri with Boyd Gaming Partnership
Fanatics Betting and Gaming has secured market access in Missouri through a new multi-year partnership with Boyd Gaming. The agreement positions Fanatics to launch its mobile sportsbook statewide and open two retail betting locations at Boyd’s Ameristar casinos, timed to the expected debut of legal sports wagering in the state this December.

A Two-Pronged Approach: Mobile and Retail
Under the terms of the agreement, Fanatics will operate its mobile sportsbook under one of Boyd Gaming’s sports betting licenses. This will allow sports fans across Missouri to access the Fanatics Sportsbook app on both iOS and Android devices.
In addition to the statewide mobile offering, the partnership includes a significant retail component. Fanatics will open and operate branded, in-person sportsbooks at two of Boyd’s flagship Missouri properties: the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City and the Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa in St. Charles, near St. Louis. These locations will offer betting markets on all major professional and college sports.
The company stated that all sports betting markets will be developed and traded in-house by Fanatics’ own team. The entire launch is contingent on receiving all necessary regulatory approvals.
The Fanatics Betting Experience
Fanatics plans to bring its signature user experience to the Missouri market, centered around its loyalty program and unique product features. The company highlighted several key differentiators it will offer to customers:
- FanCash: A loyalty currency where players can earn up to 10% back on every bet, win or lose.
- Fair Play™: A feature that provides injury protection on certain wagers.
- Exclusive Events: Access to unique experiences that leverage the broader Fanatics brand.
A Strategic Partnership for a New Market
This partnership is a strategic move for both companies as they prepare to enter Missouri’s newly regulated sports betting landscape. For Fanatics, it provides immediate market access through a well-established partner, continuing its rapid expansion across the United States. The company currently operates in markets that cover 95% of the addressable U.S. online sports bettor population.
For Boyd Gaming, which operates 28 gaming properties in 10 states, the deal allows it to partner with a major digital-first brand to capitalize on the new sports betting opportunity. The collaboration follows a common model in the U.S. where online operators partner with land-based casinos to meet state licensing requirements.
