Genius Sports has entered a commercial agreement with FanDuel Sports Network to deploy a new advertising system for live broadcasts. The collaboration launches the “Intelligent Content Platform.” This system is the first nationwide network designed to target sports fans with real-time, data-backed content during games.

Real-Time Data and Augmented Advertising

The platform operates on GeniusIQ, the company’s proprietary data and artificial intelligence engine.

This technology uses machine learning to analyze live gameplay instantly. It identifies specific moments of high excitement or statistical significance to trigger relevant advertisements.

The partnership covers more than 300 NBA games and various WNBA matchups. It functions across traditional television, digital streaming, and other viewing environments.

Advertisers can sponsor specific on-screen graphics that appear based on the action. These include player identification, shot probability, shot distance, and heat maps.

Sean Conroy, Executive Vice President at Genius Sports, described the system as a way to modernize how brands interact with live events.

“Partnering with FanDuel Sports Network represents a transformative step in how brands use the power of live sports to engage audiences. Together, we’re creating the first truly unified augmented advertising network in live sports, giving brands the ability to reach fans with relevant, real-time content at the moments that matter most. This collaboration underscores a clear industry shift: rights holders and advertisers alike are demanding new, data-driven ways to captivate fans.”

Jim Keller, EVP at FanDuel Sports Network, emphasized the scale of the integration.

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, fan-forward experiences at scale. By pairing Genius Sports’ real-time intelligence with our network’s unmatched scale, we’re giving brands the ability to connect with fans with moments that matter most, creating more meaningful opportunities across every screen.”

Expanding the Data Ecosystem

This deal is part of a broader strategy by Genius Sports to secure its role as the primary data supplier for the sports world. The company recently signed a multi-year extension with the National Football League (NFL) that runs through the 2029 season.

Genius remains the exclusive distributor of official NFL data and Next Gen Stats to betting operators globally. This extension also includes rights to distribute low-latency video feeds for betting purposes.

The company is also pushing its “BetVision” product. This technology allows bettors to watch live games and place wagers within a single video player.

Hard Rock Bet recently integrated BetVision, giving its users access to interactive streams for NFL and Serie A matches.

To support these technical initiatives, Genius acquired the Sports Innovation Lab in September. This purchase adds behavioral data from fans to the company’s portfolio, allowing for more precise ad targeting.

Financial Growth and Leadership Changes

Genius Sports reported strong financial results alongside these operational moves. Third-quarter revenue in 2025 rose by 38% compared to the previous year.

The company also raised approximately $144 million through a new stock issuance to fund future acquisitions and corporate needs.

To manage this capital, the company appointed Bryan Castellani as the new Chief Financial Officer. Castellani brings executive experience from Warner Music Group and Disney/ESPN.

CEO Mark Locke also addressed the emerging sector of prediction markets. He stated that Genius is well-positioned to supply official data to these exchanges, provided they meet regulatory and commercial standards.
