Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority Appoints Joseph J. Hasson as Interim COO
The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority has announced the appointment of Joseph J. Hasson as the interim Chief Operating Officer (COO).
This move follows the sudden departure of Jody Madigan, who resigned effective August 1, 2024, but will be on leave until his departure date. The reasons for Madigan’s resignation were not disclosed.
Joseph J. Hasson’s Background and Experience
Joseph J. Hasson, currently serving as the General Manager of Mohegan Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, was chosen as the “obvious choice” for the interim COO role, according to the company’s announcement.
Hasson brings a wealth of experience to the position, having previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Station Casinos LLC and Red Rock Resorts, Inc.
Responsibilities and Expectations
In his new role as interim COO, Hasson will report directly to Mohegan’s President and CEO, Ray Pineault. He is tasked with maintaining the high standards of service and operational excellence that the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority is known for.
Pineault expressed confidence in Hasson’s capabilities, stating, “Joseph J. Hasson’s deep understanding of the gaming and hospitality industry makes him exceptionally qualified to maintain our high service and operational excellence standards.”
