Tennessee Sports Betting Sets Third Consecutive Record Month
Sports betting in Tennessee reached a record handle of $594 million in November 2024, marking the third consecutive month of record-breaking performance.

Another Record Month for Tennessee Sports Betting
November continued the streak of strong results for sports betting in Tennessee. Prior to this, the state recorded handles of $547 million in October and $521 million in September.
This marks the fourth month where the state’s handle exceeded $500 million. November’s handle also represents significant growth, with an 8.5% increase compared to October and a 15.3% year-over-year rise. This growth occurred even though November 2023 was itself a record-breaking month with a handle of $516 million.
Licensed Sports Betting Operators in Tennessee
The Tennessee Sports Wagering Council (SWC) does not publish individual operator performance data. However, the state is currently home to 12 licensed online operators, including some of the most prominent brands in the U.S. market:
- Caesars
- Bally Bet
- FanDuel
- DraftKings
- Fanatics
- ESPN Bet
- BetMGM
- Hard Rock Bet
In November, these operators collectively contributed a record $11 million in taxes to the state budget, surpassing the previous record of $10.1 million set in October.
SWC’s Efforts to Support the Legal Market
The Tennessee SWC remains committed to fostering a fair and competitive environment for legal operators. Last month, Bovada was fined $50,000 for operating an illegal online sports betting platform accessible to Tennessee residents.
Despite receiving a cease-and-desist order, state regulators discovered that Bovada was still accessible within Tennessee. The SWC continues to take action to protect the integrity of the state’s legal sports betting market.
