Underdog Rises to Third on LinkedIn’s Top US Startups List
Underdog, the sports gaming and media company, has been named the number three startup on the 2025 LinkedIn Top 50 Startups List in the U.S. This jump marks a significant rise from its number 15 position in 2024. This is the third year the company has been recognized on the list, which tracks companies under five years old for their job seeker interest, employee growth, and ability to attract top talent. Notably, Underdog is the only sports company to appear on the 2025 ranking.

Financial and Product Milestones Mark Rapid Growth
The Brooklyn-based company is positioning itself as the fastest-growing sports company in the U.S. In its fifth year of operation, the firm projects it will reach nearly $500 million in revenue for 2025.
This rapid financial expansion was supported by a recent Series C funding round led by Spark Capital, which placed the company’s valuation at $1.3 billion.
Underdog is expanding its product features with aggressive market moves. It recently became the first U.S. sports gaming operator to offer prediction markets through a partnership with Crypto.com.
The company also reached the Number 1 spot in the free sports app category in the app store this fall, surpassing major industry rivals.
Focus on Talent and Content Ecosystem
Underdog attributes its rapid success to a simple focus on its workforce and offerings. Jeremy Levine, Founder and CEO of Underdog, stated the company believes having the “best people and build the best products” is the path to building the biggest company in the space. The firm has made key additions to its C-Suite and adopted an AI-native approach to development, hiring top engineering talent and launching internal AI learning programs.
Currently available in 40 states, Washington D.C., and Canada, the company is leveraging a fan-first content ecosystem to build a loyal community.
Its popular YouTube shows, such as The Arena and Fantasy Football With Josh and Hayden, deliver new ways for fans to engage with the sports and players they enjoy. The company offers licensed sports betting, fantasy sports games, and prediction markets, all built on its proprietary technology.
