Inside the Circa Survivor Contest

The five-part docuseries, created by Longball Productions, will provide a behind-the-scenes look into the high-stakes world of contest betting, focusing on the 2023 Circa Sports Circa Survivor Pro Football Contest, the largest sports betting contest in the world, which offers a life-changing $9.2 million prize.

The show will air on VSiN’s YouTubeTV channel, VSiN.com, and live on X (formerly Twitter) @VSiNLive.

“Circa Survivor” follows the journey of over 9,000 participants vying for the top prize in the Circa Survivor contest. Contestants are required to pick one winning NFL team each week of the season, without repeating teams. If a contestant’s team loses, they are eliminated. With only four contestants making it to the end, the series is set to capture the excitement, strategy, and emotional rollercoaster of this unique contest.

Hosted by Circa Sports, the Survivor contest has become a major event in the sports betting world, growing year over year. Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa Sports, highlighted the contest’s increasing significance, mentioning, “2023 offered our largest prize pool to date, and this docuseries captures the energy and excitement of one of the biggest contests in sports betting history.”

The contest’s format is simple yet challenging: contestants pick one NFL team to win each week, but can only choose each team once per season. This structure has contributed to its massive appeal, with a guaranteed minimum prize pool of $10 million for the 2024 contest, which is already in production.

Throughout the docuseries, viewers will meet a variety of colorful characters from all over the U.S. who enter the contest, as well as sports betting experts who provide insights and analysis. Stephan Shelanski, partner at Longball Productions, described the storytelling in the series as a blend of “great stories, wonderful characters, and high drama.”

Alongside Circa Survivor, Circa Sports is also preparing for its 2024 Circa Million VI contest, which will offer $6 million in total prizes, including a $1 million top prize and the prestigious Circa Sports blue jacket.
