BetMGM signed Abby Merk as their new poker ambassador. The deal brings the pro player and social media star into the mix.

A Rising Star Joins the Table

Abby Merk stands out in the poker world. At 24, this Chicago native ditched finance for poker and content creation. Now, she boasts over 100,000 followers on YouTube and Instagram.

In February 2025, she won the Rising Star in Content Creation at the Global Poker Awards. So, her skills impress both at the table and online.

As a BetMGM Poker ambassador, Merk will play at select MGM Resorts events. Plus, she’ll produce videos and posts for BetMGM’s social channels, sharing her real take on the game.

What Makes Merk a Perfect Fit

BetMGM’s Chief Marketing Officer, Casey Hurbis, loves the move. “Abby Merk’s winning personality and love of poker reflect the excitement we’re building,” he said. “She’s a fantastic addition to our ambassadors, and we expect her to connect with fans through authentic storytelling.”

Meanwhile, Merk feels just as pumped. “Partnering with a brand that shares my values of honor and integrity has always been my dream,” she said. “I’m proud to join BetMGM as a poker ambassador for 2025! I can’t wait to grow the game with them.”

This news follows big updates for BetMGM Poker. In November 2024, they merged player pools from New Jersey and Michigan. That move created a larger, livelier online community.

They also launched an upgraded app with better promotions and more action. Consequently, Merk’s arrival fits right into this growth spurt.

Players earn BetMGM Rewards Points and Tier Credits with every hand. Then, they can cash those in for bonuses or perks like Marriott Bonvoy Points. It ties poker into BetMGM’s full lineup of casino games and sports betting.
