Fanatics Sportsbook Expands to 21 States with Latest Launch in Wyoming
Fanatics Sportsbook has become the fifth operator to launch in Wyoming as of May 29, marking another milestone in its rapid expansion across the United States.
Acquisition and Market Entry
The company’s growth trajectory began with the acquisition of PointsBet’s US assets last summer. This deal provided Fanatics with access to 20 US markets, propelling its swift expansion.
Most recently, Fanatics launched its sports betting and online gambling platforms in New Jersey in May, completing the integration of PointsBet’s assets.
Fanatics initially launched its sportsbook in beta mode in four states in August 2023. Since then, it has expanded its operations to several key markets, including Arizona, Illinois, New York, and North Carolina.
Wyoming’s Sports Betting Landscape
In Wyoming, Fanatics joins other major operators such as BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, and FanDuel. Digital sports betting was legalized in the state in April 2021, with the Wyoming Gaming Commission launching two operators ahead of the NFL season on September 1, 2021.
According to a Fanatics press release, the sportsbook app is available for download on both iOS and Android devices. Fanatics leverages its sportsbook to cross-market with its merchandise and trading card businesses, offering a unique value proposition to consumers.
