Gadoon Kyrollos and Billy Walters Launch Non-Profit American Bettor’s Voice

25.07.2024

Gadoon “Spanky” Kyrollos and Billy Walters announced on Monday the formation of American Bettors’ Voice (ABV), a Nevada-based non-profit dedicated to representing sports bettors in the expanding U.S. online sports betting market.

Addressing Industry Disinterest

ABV claims that the sports betting industry, encompassing operators, regulators, affiliates, lobbyists, and consultants, has often neglected the needs and voices of bettors. This lack of engagement threatens the industry’s sustainability.

The newly launched non-profit seeks to bridge this gap, ensuring that the political and regulatory entities engage meaningfully with the sports betting community to fulfill their mandates effectively.

Kyrollos, serving as the organization’s Chairman, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “This organization is the perfect complement to BetBash and the Sports Gambling Hall of Fame. Bettors need a voice, and we intend for these voices to be heard.” Kyrollos’ vision underscores the necessity for bettors to have a representative body advocating for their interests.

Commitment from Industry Legends

Billy Walters, a philanthropist and celebrated figure in U.S. sports betting, expressed his dedication to ABV’s mission: “At this stage in my life, I am eager to give back to an activity that has given me so much. Bettors deserve to be treated fairly, and we at American Bettors’ Voice are unwavering in our commitment to this cause.”

Richard Schuetz, a seasoned gaming and regulatory veteran, will lead the organization as its CEO. The Advisory Board, comprised of industry experts Brett Smiley, Brianne Doura-Schawohl, Susan Hensel, Allison McCoy, and Eric Raskin, will provide strategic guidance and support.
