Louisiana Sports Betting Sees 42% Growth in July

Revenue and Tax Contributions Continue to Rise
The majority of this rise can be attributed to the popularity of online betting, which contributed $172.2 million, representing a 40.6% boost from July 2023. Retail sports betting also saw modest growth, with a $12.3 million handle, a slight increase of 0.6% year-over-year.
July’s sports betting activity resulted in significant revenue, with online sports betting generating approximately $22.5 million in net proceeds.
Retail betting added around $1.5 million to this total. The state’s sports betting industry also contributed nearly $3.5 million in tax revenue for the month.
