Mohegan Promotes Nelson Parker to Chief Strategy Officer
Mohegan has promoted Nelson Parker to the position of Chief Strategy Officer. Previously serving as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development, Parker will now oversee the identification, assessment, and execution of growth opportunities and strategic ventures for the company.
Leadership and Strategic Experience
Before joining Mohegan in 2022, Parker was a Managing Director at Driftwood Capital, a private equity firm specializing in hospitality investments.
His career in the gaming industry includes senior roles at Penn National Gaming, Hard Rock International, Foxwoods Resort Casino, and Argosy Gaming.
Ray Pineault, President and CEO of Mohegan, expressed confidence in Parker’s abilities, citing his extensive experience and proven track record in the gaming and hospitality sectors. “Nelson has vast experience and a proven track record in strategic development and growth within the gaming and hospitality sectors. New Responsibilities
As Chief Strategy Officer, Parker will play a pivotal role in Mohegan’s future growth and capital planning.
He will be responsible for vetting and initiating growth opportunities and ensuring successful implementation across all functional areas. Parker will collaborate closely with the executive team to align strategic initiatives with Mohegan’s long-term goals and vision.
