Esports betting company Oddin.gg has secured a temporary sports betting license in West Virginia, marking its fourth regulatory approval in North America.

Strengthening Compliance and Accessibility

The West Virginia license confirms that Oddin.gg’s services meet the state’s strict regulatory requirements for both online and retail betting.

The state is known for its comprehensive and rigorous regulatory framework, ensuring that all licensed operators demonstrate financial stability, operational integrity, and full compliance with local laws.

The license, granted by the West Virginia Lottery Commission, follows previous certifications in New Jersey, Colorado, and Ontario, further solidifying the company’s position in the growing North American market.

Commitment to North American Expansion

Vlastimil Venclik, co-founder and CEO of Oddin.gg, expressed enthusiasm about this achievement stating “We are thrilled to achieve yet another important milestone for Oddin.gg. Acquiring the West Virginia license strengthens our position in the US market. Combined with new US-based operators becoming our clients, this license marks another significant step in our North American expansion strategy. The work doesn’t stop here; we are actively working on acquiring further US licenses to support both existing clients and future prospects.”

Venclik highlited the potential of the esports betting industry, which is projected to generate $80 billion in betting volume with $5.5 billion in revenue at a 7% margin.

He emphasized Oddin.gg’s dedication to providing US betting companies with the tools to tap into this rapidly expanding market, particularly among younger bettors who are avid fans of competitive gaming.
