Ohio sports betting reached $863 million in September, up over $150 million from September 2023.

Ohio sports betting grew big in September 2024. Online and retail sportsbooks combined for a handle of $864.3 million, the 3rd highest month since launch in January 2023.
September 2024 was up 25% year over year from September 2023 and 30% year over year for gross revenue which was $106.2 million.
The jump from August to September was 117.7% and was mainly driven by the NFL season and college football.
January and September are the only months in 2024 where revenue has exceeded $100 million.
Online Betting
Online betting was $842.4 million of the total handle with online revenue of $103 million.
DraftKings is the leader among mobile operators with a handle of $308.7 million. FanDuel was second with a $276 million handle and a 14.2% hold and $39.1 million in revenue. Bet365 was third with a $68 million handle.
Betr, which specializes in micro-betting and DFS, had a handle of $614,496 in its first full month in Ohio and Oddin.gg, a Prague-based bookmaker, recently got a license to operate in Ohio and will be launching soon.
Ohio sports betting tax revenue in September was $21.3 million, up from $10.3 million in August. Total sports betting tax revenue for 2024 is over $125 million.
