PrizePicks Expands to New Hampshire
PrizePicks has announced its latest expansion into New Hampshire after securing a daily fantasy sports operating license from the state. Granite State’s entry marks the 35th operational market for PrizePicks in the United States.
Innovative Game Offerings
PrizePicks provides a range of skill-based fantasy games, including their peer-to-peer game, Arena. This game allows players to compete against each other by joining groups that match their number of entries, entry fee, and experience level. Since its launch in January, Arena has been activated in nine jurisdictions and has seen over two million lineups built by more than 100,000 players.
Adam Packer, Senior Vice President of Legal & Compliance at PrizePicks, expressed enthusiasm about the new venture: “We are thrilled to be able to offer our skill-based fantasy offering to sports fans throughout the Granite State. We are grateful to the New Hampshire Lottery Commission for their thoughtful collaboration.”
M&A Rumors
PrizePicks expands its market presence amid reports that the company is actively exploring potential merger and acquisition opportunities. As reported by Bloomberg, PrizePicks has engaged the investment bank Moelis & Co. for this purpose.
Multiple sources report that PrizePicks does not intend to sell off its assets but rather is seeking advantageous options in the M&A market. It is suggested that the company aims to strengthen and expand its technological division, which is crucial for development in the DFS sector.
