Simplebet Sees 75% Growth During Third NBA Season
Simplebet has reported nearly $325 million in bets across its operator partner base. Throughout the NBA season, close to 13 million bets were placed on Simplebet’s in-play NBA markets, marking an approximate 75% increase compared to the previous season.
NBA Playoffs Drive Betting Volume
The NBA playoffs, featuring 86 playoff and play-in games, played a significant role in this growth. One of the most popular betting markets was the “next Field Goal-type,” where users predict the next shot by a specific player.
Simplebet CEO Chris Bevilacqua commented on the season’s results, expressing satisfaction with the increased fan engagement “We were thrilled to witness the growth of fan engagement throughout this NBA season. Our commitment to providing innovative in-play betting options has allowed users to interact with the game in real-time, predicting their favourite players’ next moves on the hardwood. With NBA TV ratings rising this season, it’s logical that in-play betting has contributed to an enhanced viewing experience.”
Expansion to Other Sports
Bevilacqua highlighted the significant growth in demand for Simplebet’s micro-betting products and expressed enthusiasm for further enhancing the in-play experience for NBA fans.
In addition to its success with the NBA, Simplebet also launched a game tracker across multiple operator partners ahead of this season’s NCAA tournament, commonly known as March Madness.
